Our aim is Success for All

5V Class Web Page - Spring 08

In Science we have been learning about the life cycle of flowering plants. The children planned their own experiment to see how much water a plant needed in order to germinate.  The less water we used the more the seed grew.
In History we have been learning about the Victorians.  At Milestones we learnt a lot about what everyday life was like during this time.
We had great fun dressing up in Victorian clothes, but we wouldn’t want to wear them all the time!
Year 5 were lucky enough to work with some of the children from Year 10 in Fernhill.  They worked with us to create some short drama’s.
As a class we have been learning to dance lots of different dance for different cultures.  One of our favourites was the Hakka which was used to intimidate enemies.  How scary do you think we look?
