6B Class Web Page - Spring 08

Year 6 have been investigating the concept of suffering this term. In the lead up to the Christian festival of Easter we used drama to think about the Easter story and how Jesus suffered.

In preparation for our science SATs we have been recapping what we learned in year 5 about the Earth, Sun and Moon. We used different balls to represent the different planets during our presentations.

In DT this term we have been designing and making a fairground ride. We looked closely at last years work to help us, and then began to design our own. We have tried to create some interesting structures by sawing at different angles, as you can see here!

In PE we have been doing gymnastics, looking specifically at different types of balances.

In PSHCE we have been learning about different drugs and the effects they have on our bodies. We worked in small groups to write and act out an advert to inform people about the dangers of drinking too much alcohol.
