Gardening Club have decided to create a garden in school. This is the site they have chosen

Since planning the garden and planting a few shrubs to start off, flower beds have been dug and many things planted. We received donations of shrubs from local garden centres and businesses.

One of the flower beds has been planted with a mixture of orange, red, yellow and white flowers. The tall plants you can see in the middle are red border sunflowers.

This flower bed contains summer bedding plants, including some grown from seed. You can see cosmos and zinnia in the photograph.

As well as creating a new garden, gardening club have been looking after the flower beds on the front playground, and the spring bulbs planted around the ground during previous years.

This flower bed also contains summer bedding such as petunias and busy lizzies. You can also see chrysanthemums in the top right corner.

We also have a herb bed which contains rosemary, flat leaf parsley, fennel, angelica and nasturtiums. We have plans to include lavender as well.

This Christmas Rose was donated by a local business and planted by members of gardening club. It ihas flowered well this year.

At the edge of the garden we have wooden tubs. This one is planted with violas, busy lizzies and a honeysuckle.

Here you can see the honeysuckle in more detail. It is climbing up the wooden post.
